My Goats

The goat I guide is the Poitevine, an ancient rustic breed from the western French basin. It grazes in meadows, woods, moors, roadsides, it chooses leaves, herbs, flowers, so the taste of the products made evolves with the seasons... My herd goes out every day except in case of rain or strong wind... In their stable, a large, bright and airy building, there is hay produced in my meadows or nearby, straw and cereals produced in a nearby area. The kids are born in February and March and are raised by their mothers. The females enlarge my herd, the males are offered for reproduction or castrated for the maintenance of large areas in private homes... My billy goats are together in the woods and meadows waiting for the breeding season... Each individual has a name: Roxy, Rachel, Ruby, Romane, Rebecca, Richesse, Reine, Raphaëlle, Royale and Radieuse. Romeo is their favourite. In spring 2021, Sophie, Sarah, Salome, Sibelle, Simba, Stella, Sissi were born. Sapphire is their favourite. I hope to find a good situation* for Soan, Swany, Sisu, Surviv' and Simon.
